Have you ever wondered who the Top Pinterest accounts to follow in Australia are? Like me, I bet you are curious to know! Recently, I was searching for a list of the Top Pinterest accounts to follow from Australia – and I just couldn’t find one. While there are a lot of articles around that tell you the overall best Pinterest accounts to follow by theme, the Top 100 Pinterest users in the world, the most followed Pinterest Accounts, or a list of must-follow Pinterest influencers – none of them were actually location based. I wanted a local list of top Australian pinners (Pinterest users), to see exactly how us Aussies are making use of the popular virtual visual bookmarking platform. I wanted to know – so WHO indeed are the most followed social media influencers on Pinterest from Australia? And where are they hiding?
So *insert drumroll* here they are: The Top 10 Pinterest Accounts to follow in Australia. These are the most followed and most popular Australian Pinterest users who I could find data on, counting down from tenth place, to number one!
10. Polka Dot Bride (107,000 followers) – Victoria, Australia

Polka Dot Bride is Australia’s most-loved wedding blog with daily posts inspiring brides and grooms all around the world. And their Pinterest account shows it – if you are looking for top notch wedding inspiration, then Polka Dot Bride has got you covered. Founded in 2007 by Ms Polka Dot (aka the anonymous and mysterious “Dorothy Polka” – get it?), who was subsequently named as one of Anthill’s 30 under 30 entrepreneurs, the blog has achieved a stellar following and is actually still one of the top women’s blogs in Australia! Definitely one of the top Pinterest accounts to follow from Australia.

Ok so Amy technically lives in London now but she’s originally from Melbourne, Australia and studied at RMIT so she makes the list! Amy is a freelance fashion and textile designer and artist whose dreamy prints combined with a bold use of colour caught the attention of stores such as Anthropologie, Selfridges and Co, Heal’s, Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. Her Pinterest aesthetic leans towards wabi-sabi and the imperfect: things that are handmade from natural materials, photographs that are maybe a little blurry, objects that show signs of wear and use, and surprising combinations of texture. She pins a lot of neutral tones, and is inspired by museums, local designers, travel, nature and indoor plants.

This came as a shock – it seems a little silly to include myself in this list – but when I compiled the Top 10 pinners and worked out the numbers I suddenly realised that I am THE 2ND MOST FOLLOWED PINTEREST ACCOUNT IN AUSTRALIA. Oh my goodness… I was so excited to find this out! I knew I was number 185 in the worldwide list for most followed Pinterest users (according to Pin Authority) but had no idea of my status locally.
